Digital Decluttering
Yesterday while I was helping some adorable preschoolers get off the bus and to their classroom, I slipped on some ice. This is the second time in about a month I've done this. You would think that as someone who has lived her entire life in the state of Minnesota, I'd know to look out and tread carefully. You'd think. I'm so ready for spring.
As a result of two fairly recent falls, my knee has decided it's had enough of the outdoors and is demanding that we stay in and elevated today. That's fine. I'm pretty sure my sinuses are also preparing a revolt of their own so I'll take the rest. In between chapters, I've decided to start doing some digital de-cluttering. I'm working on moving things over to Library Thing. I've had enough of Goodreads. I'm pretty much there for the group I moderate for. Even that's getting irritating lately as authors have taken over. I spend more time deleting author spam than I do interacting with other group members. Ugh.
I'm taking the time to go through my TBR. There are so many books on it at this point and I know I'm never going to be able to read them all. Why not prioritize a little bit? Of course the problem is for every book I delete, I add five. All the same, there's still something satisfying about deleting books I know I'll never read anyway. It's a lot like the satisfaction I get when I donate a box of toys my children don't play with or clothes I don't wear.
Am I the only one who feels this way? Does anyone else do this?
